AZ snowman cookies!

One of the best Christmas traditions is the delivering treats and goodies around the neighborhood.

This year we must have really been missing the cold & snow... because we kinda had a snowman theme going on.

But since we were in Mesa and all, they didn't last long. And away they melted...
We even had snowman cake pops mixed in

and snowman mini donuts with oreo top hats that hardly stayed.

But at least we had some reindeer donuts, too.
And some fudge.
And some Rolo, pretzel, M&M thingees... just for good measure.

Then it was time to assemble.

And we even had some leftovers to eat with hot cocoa while watching Christmas movies on Sunday afternoon!

Merry Christmas!!

November 29, 2014

A day I won't forget.

I went through the temple, while in Utah, with so many cousins and aunts there with me!

It was so awesome to me that so many people came down to Manti Saturday morning after they had already gone back to Utah County the day before.

I really have the best family.

And having them with me was perfect.
So grateful for these cousins of mine!

And these grandparents!
I didn't think my grandma would be able to make it. She hadn't been to the Manti temple in years, since she and grandpa used to work there, because of all the stairs and moving around. It became too much for her health. But much to my surprise, and delight, she came!
As I watched all of my family members walk out to begin the session, I was so happy to see them all.  But then watching my grandma come out, cane in hand with Grandpa there helping her out, was one of the best parts of the day!

Then we went to the Malt Shoppe in Ephraim for lunch:

A day for the books!

GUNDERSUMMER14: The Lakehouse

Days 8-13. Friday, July 4 - Wednesday, July 9, 2014.

Imagine a serene little lake right on the border of Idaho and Washington. Literally right on that border, in Idaho's panhandle. Picture a thicket of green, luscious, beautiful trees  lining the hills surrounding the lake. Envision a house right on that lake with a private dock, with a garage filled with water skis, wake boards, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, tubes, dozens of life jackets and other fun water toys. Fill that house with family, chaos, amazing and endless food, laughter, games, campfires, more games, sunburns, more laughter, more games, more water...
and that, my friends, would be a little piece of what we did for 5 days this summer.

The view of wake boarding, kayaking, paddle boarding, and the house from the boat one afternoon. (Did you picture it correctly?)

The view from the balcony one evening.

It was pure heaven. (minus the sunburns)
